A labor of love ... that's what I call my work on this one. I spent extra time and care coloring and tweaking it, probably just because I found this lovely lady to be so delectable (besides the finished product, you can see here the black-and-white original that I started with).
Besides colorizing these old images, I often do a bit of sharpening as well. Now one thing I've learned is that you have to be careful with this. Sharpening the entire picture can produce unwanted results, such as skin that looks mottled or pixelated. What I do instead is to sharpen just certain areas of "special interest," if you catch my meaning. This makes for a more satisfying visual experience. Don't you agree?
