I love a pretty butterfly, don't you? Especially one with delicate pink wings open for the world's admiration. Nature can be beautiful!
Based on (ahem) personal experience, as well as perusal of a large sampling of crotch-shot photos, it seems only a minority of females sport protruding inner lips such as these. More the pity. Such a rare species should be put on display more often, in my opinion.
P.S: If you're a woman reading this, and you have photographic proof of your own rare butterfly, I wouldn't object to seeing it!
