The Betty Paige era (basically, the 1950s) saw the transition from predominantly black-and-white photography to more color photography, especially in the professional realm. As a result there are many photos of Bettie Page out there that were shot in color, but considerably more that were done in black and white. All of the Bettie Page photos you will see in this blog were originally black-and-white; I have personally added color to, hopefully, put them more on a par with her real-color images.
